On August 26, AMSAT-CA President Levente Buzas VA7QF met in person with AMSAT President Drew Glassbrenner KO4MA in Salt Lake City, Utah at the 40th Small Satellite Conference.

The meeting was held in a positive and constructive atmosphere and provided an opportunity to discuss several areas of mutual interest between AMSAT and AMSAT-CA. Topics included the ESA FutureGEO project, the correct use the AMSAT name given the presence of two AMSAT organizations in North America, AMSAT-CA participation in ARISS, as well as AMSAT-CA’s role in endorsing IARU satellite frequency coordination applications.

The discussion helped strengthen communication and relationship between the two organizations and identified opportunities for continued cooperation on matters of shared interest within the Amateur satellite community. AMSAT-CA looks forward to working closely with AMSAT and building on this positive relationship in the years ahead.
